Junk for the dancefloor

Here are some loop type tracks that I made for DJ'ing with. In the context of a set they might only appear for a minute or so, just being simple riffs for mixing into other tunes. You might possibly recognise them from the Glade festival or Acid On Sea. They aren't the greatest tracks but are fun to listen to, so enjoy.

Another Walk + My Fav

It was a 5 hour walk this time, and I took more pics, 1174 in total. Just under 10 miles shown in 1 minute 40 seconds means that this animation shows what you would see travelling at about 350 miles an hour. (560 kmph)

YouTube quality is so bad... out of necessity I guess. In low light conditions, it's pixel city. Still, you get the idea.

Here's my favourite YouTubular thing so far: Tony vs. Paul.

2 Jims

Presuming you haven't seen them before, here are 2 inspiring blogs:
Jim Bumgardner, besides having an amazing name, wrote the modular synth freeware program Syd, that I used to fiddle with on Mac os 8 back in '99. It has recently made a return as JSyd, a cross-platform Java implementation. Anyway, he writes loads of other interesting software and graphical playthings (one of which will choose your lunch, another will read your mind...) His blog is here.
Jim Woodring is a graphic artist, I don't really know how to describe what he does, "surreal comix" maybe? Probably best to have a look and see. Here's a taster:

Embedded in my scratching head

Yo, I'm just fiddling with html and stuff and managed to get this embedded music player working, not without several hours of puzzling and hacking around web code which I don't understand! (well I now understand it better than before...)
If you can use flash 7 in your browser, you should see this below: 3 random tracks from my page on
New audio bits soon.

Canal Walk

Today I took a walk from West London, along the canal and up to Primrose Hill, and took a photo every 30 seconds. Here is the result as an animation, with original soundtrack:

p.s. I put it on MySpace too and it looks much better quality, but no-one looks at vids on MySpace do they.

Joining the club

Hello... here is my blog. I meet people who ask me questions about my music and activities all the time, which is really cool, so I want to use this as a channel for any such news, and my musings on cultural matters. I don't intend to spill the beans on my private life, not yet anyway. Feel free to leave some feedback, however if you just want to sling some insults, at least have the guts to do it mano a mano and email me at (also valid for nice messages!)

When's your next record then?

I hear that a lot these days. I'm really gratified that there is so much interest in my music 3 years after the last release! Anyway, to start with, if you didn't check it out already, you should check out the Bangface live set I put online, that's an album's worth of previously unreleased music.
Secondly, I've just completed a remix for Areal Records. It's a 4-on-the-floor melodic disco/hi-nrg inspired track with a few industrial noises chucked in at opportune moments.
Also on the horizon is a collaborative track, which I hope will be released soon. I'll report more nearer the time.
Apart from that, I have 3 album projects I would really like to see the light of day. I don't have a label at the moment though. It would be nice if something happened this year about that. If you have any ideas, feel free to get in touch.
